With an empty weight of less than 254 pounds, the Ultrasport 254 is a one seater ultralight helicopter which conforms to the FAA’s ultralight regulations, in particular FAR Part 103. The design is based on a composite fuselage instead of the more traditional solution of a metal tube frame. It also uses a shrouded tail rotor to improve safety. It comes with a pair of infinite life composite main rotor blades and two composite tail rotor blades.
The Ultrasport 254 is only marketed and sold in the USA and other countries where true ultralight helicopters are regulated. The machines are manufactured in Taiwan.
