Description The Konner K1 is a two-seater, ultralight helicopter, which was first shown to the public in 2013 at the AERO in Friedrichshafen, Germany. It is designed and produced by the Italian company Konner, which is based in Amaro, northeast Venice.

The K1 is the remarkable result of 10 years of development and prototyping. As well as the use of modern composite materials and the typical sleek Italian design of the fuselage, Konner also sprung some surprises with a couple of notable innovations.

The first of these was the introduction of the TK-250 turboshaft engine that is designed to run on diesel or even biodiesel.

The second innovation was a hybrid turboshaft, which is a turboshaft combined with an electric motor that is capable of delivering 50hp in the event of a turboshaft engine failure. This safety feature is designed to provide a much more relaxed and safe autorotation capability by improving the flying capacity of the helicopter during such an emergency situation.

The K1 will be certified in the ultralight category in accordance with the EASA CS-27 rules for small rotorcraft. The first deliveries are planned for the second half of 2014.

Greetings,

I looked at your specifications in seeing that is 353 pounds. I am assuming that that includes a full tank of fuel. Even if it does it means The pilot and passenger can only be around 150 pounds each which I find to be very limiting. Can you follow up and let me know if I have read anything wrong. I am interested in your helicopter.

Hi Robert,

Empty weight is without usable fuel and gross weight is specified with. So you are right about you assumption that the usefull load includes fuel. It always does.

By the way, it is not mine helicopter :-) It is manufactured by Konner in Italy.

Hi Helistartgz,

thanks for the comments. I just found that 353 pounds useful load makes it difficult to carry two passengers that way 195 pounds. You said it was not your helicopter:-). Do you have a helicopter and if so what do you have.

Hi all, Firstly let me say that this is the best overall performance package and design prototype in production that I have seen it beats all other ultralight helicopters in it's class hands down the Italians got it right.this is a stable diesel turbine platform at this point faster than anything on the market and in a lot of case's at a fraction of the cost.

They are going to develop a 5 seater too.
I've seen it on a TV program.
