Description |
Since 2006, the company Winner SCS has focused on the design and development of an "approved amateur-build" helicopter with two seats, a two-blade main rotor and a turbine engine. It is now supplied in a ready-to-fly version.
Strategic partnerships have been set up with the "Aero-Thermo-Meca" department of the University of Brussels (ULB), and a European consortium of 39 companies has been established (www.esposa-project.eu) to develop a new generation turbine designed to equip helicopters like that referred to above. The coordinator of this project is the company PBS, and Winner has been chosen to test the new turbine.
The niche markets targeted are the CNSK certification in France, the BCAR in England and the experimental market for the rest of the world. Two versions of the helicopter are being used for this purpose: the current one, the B150 with a 160shp turbine engine, and the future one, the B200 with a 250shp turbine that is limited to 200shp according to some local authorities.
