Top 10 Helicopters: Highest Volume Sold

For some people, what follows will be a surprise, but the highest positions in this list are taken by Russian Mil helicopters. The former Soviet Union has sold literally thousands of Mi-8 Hip and Mi-17 machines to mostly Eastern European countries and for personal use. At position three is the legendary Huey (Bell 205-1A). The Bell Jetranger and the M*A*S*H* Bel-47 also make an appearance. The list clearly demonstrates the immense success of the piston-based Robinson helicopter family.
